8.4 Engine Bug Fix

I've released v1.5.1 of the common image tools file, which is now required for the image tools to work in v8.4.0 or v8.4.1 of Ren'Py. There is an engine bug in these versions which causes renpy.loadable to return True with an empty string, which can cause errors (as it's not actually a valid file, and should return False instead as it did prior to 8.4). Do I have to update?

It is planned for this oversight to be fixed for the next engine version. However, in the meantime, if you'd like to use image tools for Ren'Py in v8.4, you must update your common image tools file to v1.5.1.

In short: if you're still on Ren'Py 8.3 or lower, no. This update only temporarily overwrites renpy.loadable for 8.4 and 8.4.1 to make it work consistently with pre-8.4 behaviour. Since the engine bug fix is planned for an 8.4.2 or 8.5 update, if you will be skipping over 8.4/8.4.1, you also do not need to update since the bug should be fixed in the engine itself.

There are no new features included in this update; just the bug fix for 8.4.0 and 8.4.1. If you discover any other problems running the image tools on 8.4.x, please let me know!
